What psychiatric medication management is
Medication management means the diagnosis, prescription, and ongoing monitoring of psychiatric medications: antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, mood stabilizers, sleep medications, ADHD medications, and others. It's a medical service, distinct from therapy.
A good medication management relationship is an ongoing conversation about how you're doing, what's working, what isn't, and how to adjust. The medication is the intervention; the ongoing relationship is how it gets monitored, adjusted, and reconsidered over time.
This is what we do, and it's all we do: focused psychiatric medication management, not therapy or crisis care. That focus is the point.
How our approach is different
A full 60-minute first visit
Your first visit is a full hour. Meredith will ask about your symptoms, your history, what you've tried, and everything around the symptoms: sleep, relationships, life circumstances, medical history. There's time to understand your medication and the plan before you leave.
The same provider, every visit
You see Meredith. Every time. She knows your name, your history, and your story.
Decisions made together
Medication is one option among several, and whether to start is a decision you make together. You'll understand why a particular medication is being considered, what it does, what side effects to watch for, and what the plan looks like before anything is prescribed.
Coordinated care
If you have a therapist and you'd like them included, Meredith coordinates with them with your consent. If you have a PCP, she can coordinate with them too.
Transparent pricing
You know what it costs before you book. No insurance surprises. Cash-pay with superbills provided (upon request) for out-of-network reimbursement on commercial plans.
Conditions we treat
Psychiatric medication management across the conditions below. These are the ones we see most, not a complete list, so if you don't see your concern here, reach out and ask. Each condition page explains how we approach treatment specifically.
Pricing and logistics
First visit: 60 minutes, $400
Follow-up: 30 minutes, $250
Extended follow-up: 60 minutes, $375 (when you want more time)
Insurance: We are out-of-network with all insurance plans. Superbills are provided (upon request) for possible out-of-network reimbursement on commercial plans. We are not able to see Medicare or Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan, or OHP) members, and we screen for this at intake so eligibility is clear before care begins.
Format: Visits are by video, from anywhere in Oregon. In certain circumstances a face-to-face visit may be necessary.
No referral needed. Book directly.
Adults and minors. We see adults and minors; in Oregon, teens 14 and older can consent to their own outpatient mental-health care. Whether we're the right fit is confirmed at booking, person by person.

Your provider
Meredith Galvin is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She came to prescribing after thirteen years in social work and ten years in psychiatric nursing, including work as a charge nurse, conducting emergency psychiatric assessments at Duke Regional Hospital, and providing home health care. That background is why she looks beyond the symptoms themselves and considers the stress, life circumstances, relationships, and other factors that may be affecting your mental health and daily life.
