I believe psychiatric care should start with listening, and with taking the time to understand your whole story before we make any decisions about medication.

I'm Meredith, a psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than twenty years of experience in mental health, including thirteen years as a frontline social worker before becoming a psychiatric nurse and later a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Today, I provide psychiatric medication management for children, adolescents, and adults throughout Oregon via telehealth. My practice is cash pay, with straightforward pricing you know before you book.

I work with children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, grief, sleep concerns, life transitions, and many of the challenges that don't always fit neatly into a diagnosis. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong before reaching out. Many people come to their first appointment feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or simply knowing that something isn't working. That's okay. We'll sort through it together.

That's what I do. I listen first.

My background in social work shaped the way I practice today. Before I ever prescribed medication, I spent years helping people navigate some of life's most difficult circumstances. Later, as a psychiatric nurse at Duke Regional Hospital, I continued caring for people facing mental health challenges from a different perspective. Together, those experiences taught me that symptoms rarely tell the whole story.

That's why I don't focus only on a checklist of diagnoses or medications. I want to understand the stress you're carrying, your relationships, your history, your strengths, and what's been happening in your life. Medication can be a helpful tool, and I believe it belongs in a thoughtful, individualized plan built around the whole person.

While my role focuses on medication management rather than therapy, I believe every appointment should feel collaborative, supportive, and unrushed. My job isn't simply to write a prescription. It's to help you understand what's going on, explain your options, and work with you to find an approach that feels right for you.
